Nightcrawler is a fairly common mod, but as he's my favorite character I felt the need to make one of my own. Most mods I've seen using the Fantastic Forces sculpt end up with him mid-jump or perched on top of the crappy smoke cloud from that sculpt. I wanted a Nightcrawler who looked like he was actually meant to be in the pose he was in. I used the punching torso, with an arm from the wingspan torso, put them on one of the legs. A bit of sculpting in the mid section smoothed him out. I heated and bent the punching arm and added a sword from Corsair. I sculpted some pretty nice smoke for him to be jumping out of, if I do say so myself. It doesn't fit in as well with other clix, as smoke in clix is normally transparent.
I had some success with creating a smoke burst out of hot glue and purple sharpie. I'm planning to use it for marking where Nightcrawler began his move during hypersonic attacks. I may re-do the smoke cloud he's bursting out of with this technique, so he'll fit in better.

Storm is probably the most complex click I've made and definitely one of the best. I've been consistently let down by appearances of Storm in Heroclix. In her fifth appearance (UXM #98) she took down a Sentinel. Single-handed. In one blow. In clix, I don't think there's one fig over 56 points and nearly every version stops being useful after 2 clicks of damage. This is not Storm. So she's on V Banshee's dial and spends a lot of time carrying around E Shadowcat, boosting her defense against range to a 19.The fig is Jewel primarily, with arms from Blackfire. The cape is made from two Icons Batman Capes, worked together and puttied. The costume is sculpted over Jewel and some hair has been added to work better on top of the cape.

So, I was reading New Mutants Classic Vol. 1, and came across X-Men issue 167, reprinted inside. It features the first meeting of the X-Men and the New Mutants. The art is by Paul Smith and is just stunningly beautiful. As I was already on my way there, I decided I wanted to have a full set of X-Men and New Mutants from that issue. The Wolverine in Brown Costume that came out with Sinister was a really nice figure, stat and sculpt-wise, but I felt the colors were a little too greyed out. So Wolverine here is a repaint with warmer tones and more shading. I really like how he turned out. A nice little masterpiece figure of my own.
