As it stands now, I have something approching more music than I can comfortably
listen to, especially considering my current rate of aquisition. I'm not
willing, though, to either stop buying new music, or to sell some of what
I have.
There are many people like this. I have no idea what this means, but it just
struck me.
OK, this isn't strictly speaking true. I've just started a full listen of
everything I own on CD...I should try to do similar with my vinyl sometime.
But still, with the time I have to devote to listening to music, this is going
to take months. (Listening when I have time at work or at home)
It took about 5 months, btw. Here's the data entry
end product.
And now, with my discovery of ETree I think
I'm completely doomed. in a few weeks of not trying very hard, I've collected
something like another 20 hours of concerts, and there's so much more out
there that I could easily downlad much more than I could ever listen to.
This is an interesting situation. And yes, it's very analagous to the
Too Many Books problem.
I've got a bunch of bananas, a bottle of borscht,
2 cans of cat food, a chicken and a Porche.
I've had enough trouble making up all these rhymes
I can't stand decisions, I think it's a crime
That you ask me if I want Rhythm Or Meter
I don't know! Just a song!
Don't ask me...but I apologize to The Bobs anyway...

A Brief History Of Vats Vol 1&2 - This is the STRANGEST piece of recorded
material I've ever actually obtained. More details later.
2 recent General Web observations: Every major website that actually provides
useful data is starting to look like every other one. A row of tabs across
the top, the A -> B -> C navigation line, and the like. Not that it's bad for
usability, but it does make things hard to identify/brand.
I finally saw my first "There's too much cruft out there, I'm taking
mine down" page ("This site under deconstruction"?) and I'm not sure how
I feel about it. It signals...something...(Bearpaw, fyi)

Spammers who go and cull addresses from web pages suck. Don't even bother,
I'm not buying. But that said, I used refuse to give in and make it harder for
folks to contact me. Congrats, you win, you assholes. Pull out the
excess spaces to get in touch with me, worthy human correspondents.
